  • Master of Arts in Government & International Relations from Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), completed between 2017 and 2019
  • Appointed Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (responsible for Sabah & Sarawak affairs and special functions) from December 3, 2022 until December 12, 2023

  • Since December 2023, he has served as Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, initially in an acting capacity from July 30, 2023, and formally appointed in December the same year

  • Spearheaded consumer protection initiatives such as enforcement of pricing laws for rice labeling (Trade Descriptions Act), anti-cartel actions in poultry feed and cooking oil distribution reforms

  • Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, Malaysia (from July 30, 2023). Began as Acting Minister following the passing of his predecessor and received permanent appointment in December 2023
